soooo i've been unemployed for a good month or so. i discovered i am quite a flake when it comes to employment i must say... which doesn't say much for me but it has been a learning experience about myself. i've found that i am definitely not a desk job person. i actually would not mind a desk job if it were something fun and consistent. my last job i was able to surf the web hours at a time. to most this would seem like a dream job, but let me tell you it got old, FAST. there are many entertaining blogs to read, but i felt like i had read them all. monotony is not my friend.
the last job before i was at before that lasted for a pretty long time in my standards (about a year). i think this was possible because it dealed with fashion, and meeting/helping people. i am in the process of getting this job back but it involves someone getting fired so i can take that position back. poor guy haha. part of me is excited to go back but part of me also wishes i could do something else. i actually applied at a local cafe which i've been to a couple times. it really is a funky and quirky place and i always dreamed of creating beautiful coffee art masterpieces ever since i watched "coffee prince".
it is a korean soap opera about a girl who pretends to be a boy to get a job as a barista at a cafe that only hires cute males. i know, it sounds shady, but what can i say? koreans like drama.
since it would be a part time, i'd have to find another side job. it got me thinking. i love dogs, and i don't mind engaging in physical activity since the weather is starting to get nicer. i could definitely use the exercise. i thought, "why not dog walking?!". silly me, why hadn't i thought of this sooner? i was clicking through craigslist again and found that there are a crapload of people advertising themselves as dog walkers/sitters. one person wrote that they were college educated with a degree in doggie cpr. w-t-f? ummmm 5 year olds can love dogs just as much as college graduates. too bad i didn't take that doggie cpr class in college... some said they could produce references on demand and some seekers asked for the walkers to be "bonded & insured". what the hell does that mean?!
also the subject of "how the heck do you get to the dog?" popped into my head. do these people give our their house keys to complete strangers? this dog walking stuff boggles my mind...
can anyone enlighten me on dog walking formalities?
